2 weeks ago Caloundra beat our Breakers girls by 90 points! Yesterday our girls booked a Grand Final appearance by beating Caloundra by 37 points!

Finals footy is the ultimate testing ground for a player and we had 17 players who stood up to the challenge and found another level to their game.

The team was well led by our Captains Bec and Tess, of whom set the physical standard early and continued to throw themselves around for the whole game.

Our midfield of Courtney, Bruce, the Bell-anator and Keely, again proved why they are one of the best in the league. Courtneys tap work was exceptional and gave us plenty of fast break attacking opportunities.

Our backline set the standard early with Bec, Micki, Izzy, Rana, Cody and Layla tackling everything that moved and never slowing in intensity.

A special mention must go out to Layla, who set the tone early with her tackling and intercepts across half back. She is little in size, but big in heart. I was also impressed with Mickies fight and intensity.

The forward line toiled hard all day amd never gave up. Tess, Holly, Lottie, Ruby and Emma combined well together, shared the ball well and got better as the game progressed. Have no doubt people, it is certainly the toughest position to play and our girls showed that collectively they can be lethal.

Brooke Billo had a great last quarter and little Faith ran hard all day.

This is a special football team who never ceases to amaze me.

Go the Mighty Breakers!
