U15s BREAK THROUGH WIN HIGHLIGHT OF BIG ROUND 7

On a perfect day for AFL across the coast we had some awesome highlights in Round 7 with 9am seeing FIVE games of Breakers footy all being played at the same time, and our Under 15's scored their first win of the season.

Even the most optimistic person would have headed to Caloundra for the Under 15 clash with a degree of doubt as our Breaker/Jets U15's at the foot of the ladder with a percentage of 24% took on third placed Caloundra with a percentage of 184%.

But right from the start the visitors were switched on and drew away with a resounding second quarter effort, ultimately winning by 96 to 16.

A great reward for the effort put in by Craig Hughes and this hardworking team - well done!

Back at Breakers HQ 9am saw a HUGE array of Breakers as our Under 6's - Red V Caloundra, White V Jets, our Under 8's Red V Jets, and our Under 9s - Red V Noosa, White V Jets took to their Ovals. To see a few great photos of the U8 reds click here

It was a mighty sight to see a sea of Blue Red & White across the ovals that extended from the clubhouse across to the rugby field - Wow!

Our Breaker U11s took to the main oval after all the excitement subsided and enjoyed a terrific game against the Gympie Cats played in excellent spirit.

Josh kicked 6, Jack C 3 and Jada 2 as Coolum took the choccies 94 to 18 - special mentions to James S and Jack W for ripper games and Kale for mark of the year in the Cats jumper

Our Under 17s Coolum/Noosa girls were next onto the oval and after an even start they put their foot on the pedal from the second quarter on to record a 70 to 22 win and consolidate third position on the ladder.

In the U13's with the new Division 1 formed after grading, it was 6th placed Coolum V fifth placed Caloundra and so the result went with the Panthers taking out a 22 point win - 56 to 34
