Breakers Win Club of The Year at AFLSC Awards Night
Big night at the Annual AFL Sunshine Coast Presentation Night that saw our Mighty Coolum Beach Breakers win Club of the Year for the first time!
The Award is based on the performance of a club across many areas including how the club is run, its performances and behavior on the field, and many other areas including taking the big step of building our fantastic club rooms.
Great feather in the hat of the tireless volunteers, our committee and everyone that pulls on a Breakers jumper.
But the joy didnt stop there.... in the competition Best & Fairest Awards our Breakers polled well in all grades and the club took home 3 B&F Medals and a Runner Up!
Reagan Mills ( a first year Breaker) and Brianna Noel (a long and loyal Breaker) tied for the U18 Girls Competition Best & Fairest on 10 Votes - only thing better than winning such an award is to share it with a mate - well done girls!
Kelsey Hayes topped off a great season by winning the Under 15 Girls competition B&F with a stunning 24 votes.
and Cooper Birmingham who has been a great addition and unsung performer since joining the club last year was the Runner-Up U15 B&F in what was a fitting reward for his efforts - well done mate!
All in all a great night for Coolum and we hope the start to a very big week for the Coolum Beach JAFC!
