Season Ends for 8s/10s - 13s & 15s Storm into Grand Finals

Swarms of eager Under 8s and 10s desended on Palmwoods for the end of season carnival on Sunday and wow what a success it was!

I dont think I've seen better ball movement from a Breakers Under 8 team than our Red & Blue teams showed in their 3 games and the pace they moved the ball nearly blew the Blue team's hats off!

Well done Glen, Michael and all the willing helpers on a fantastic effort in guiding our Mighty Under 8's in 2015.

Our Under 10s played at opposite ends of the 3 oval playing area but ked similar in the fantastic energy they put into all three of their matches in the windy conditions.

The Blue team had a great season given how young they are and our Reds were fantastic with many new players.

Well done Under 10s!

Down at Bribie Island our Breakers Under 13s defied their critics with a fantastic team effort against Bribie to march straight into the Div 2 Grand Final.

Will get you full scores, best etc... but I believe it was 10 goals to 5 and the win crafted not just by the best 3 or 4 but by everyone stepping up on the big day.

Our Under 15 Girls I hear went down in the first Semi Final and their season is over. Bad luck girls but what a super season and having seen the skills and effort many times this year i commend all involved - well done!

Our Under 15 team took on Caloundra in the Second Semi Final having lost to them on each of the two occasions so to take the choccies by over 10 goals was a fantastic effort.

90 points to 9 at 3/4 time (we'll get you best, final scores etc.. asap) was a big lead and allowed Lynden to rest some key players in the last.

Tom A bagged 7 while Tom G kicked 5 (both resting in the last) but while they were both great today, this was a team effort and driven by Coolum hunting in numbers and making the ball first priority. Best players as soon as we get them.

Still much to be done by the group as last time I looked they dont hand out Premiership Cups at the 2nd Semi, but the effort was huge and should give them some great confidence for the big one - well done!

Our fantastic U18 Girls went down in a cliff hanger against Mountain Creek with the Creek team kicking 3 goals in the last 10 minutes to take the choccies by 5 points at the final siren.

Reports are that all in attendence were very proud of Coolum's strength, determination and skill and won the respect of all at the ground.

Big challenge to regather to defeat Maroochydore/Nambour next week for a chance in the granny to turn the tables and win a flag.

Good luck girls!
