Footy Returns from Holiday Slumber

Early days yet - and we will update scores etc... as we can - but early reports are that our Under 8's bounced back from their 3 weeks off without looking rusty at all!

Our Under 10's also looked hungry for the ball after mastering in Ipad studies for 21 days and our Under 6's played a ripper at Maroochydore to continue the wonderful development of this super team

Our Under 11's headed to Palmwood to play Nambour/Glasshouse and aquitted themselves really well on the big deck.

From Coach Andrew:

A cold windy day 10 goal win to the Coolum Breakers u11s - after a 3 week break and a solid training session saw the boys come together as a strong united team against the combined Nambour - Glasshouse side at Palmwoods.

Captain Will displayed great speed & courage with the ball and together with Sam & Zander got the side a quick first goal against the wind in a close hard fought first quarter. Q2 saw us kicking with the wind and Jack starred kicking 3 goals in a row. Zander chimed in with a great goal to put us in front by 5 goals at half time.

The third quarter was close with Zac, Brody & Elijah playing smart footy in defence. Beau & Zen were awarded for getting the ball & tackling hard. Mick was great taking some strong marks and playing attacking footy. Baxter playing at full forward kicked a sensational goal against the wind.

In the last quarter Hudson played in the centre and assisted with Sam & Connery in driving long to our forwards. Max starred kicking a bag of 4 goals including one on his left foot. The last play of the day went to the speedy skills of Noah & Mick.

The boys sang the team song loud & proud much to the enjoyment of family & friends. It was a great game of footy with lots of improvement from both sides.
