Historic Opening of Breakers Clubrooms

The club has received wonderful support from all quarters to see its dream of a base at Coolum High to call its own, and on Sunday we saw the official opening of our club rooms by Councillor Steve Robinson.

Club President Lynden Griffiths opened proceedings and painted a picture of our great club's history and how significant it was to have this facility as our first true home.

Treasurer and past President Glen Farrow added to Lynden's comments and handed over to Steve Robinson whose generosity in funding a large proportion of the project via his council discretionary fund cannot be underestimated.

The Breakers certainly have a friend in Councillor Robinson.

With all the wins, losses, scraped knees and stained footy jumpers, history will record that 2015 was the year that Coolum Beach Junior AFC established its first true home.

Many thanks to all who planned, sought the funds, assisted in the building and/or landscaping and of course to the school for allowing us to be a key part of their community.
