Big Round of Breakers AFL to End May

It was a big round of Breakers AFL spanning Friday night to Sunday as all bar our Mighty Under 6's & Under 13s journeyed away from the greatest place on the Sunny Coast to kick a Sherrin around.

On Friday night our Under 18 Girls took on Nambour/Maroochy under lights and where unfortunately our girls went down 70 to 20.

Sunday morning at Breakers HQ our mighty Under 6's were again centre stage as they battled the Roos who threatened to hop away with a big win but had to settle for a draw as our tenacious Breakers battled it out mark for mark, and kick for kick!

Well done to all involved in this exciting and vibrant new part of our club.

Our Under 8 Reds headed to Noooooosa to take on their Red's, and once again Glen's team showed great team work and dash to put on another great performance. Well done!

The Under 8 Blues flew down to play the Jets at Mudjimba in an entertaining game where big kicks and some fantastic marking were features of Coolum's play.

The Jets had no coach and 5 players so well done to Michael and all involved in making it a great game where everyone had fun and a kick.

Our Under 10 Blue team also ducked the low flying Jetstar and Virgin morning flights as they too took on a very quick quick-running Shore outfit.

Roger's team had a real dip on Sunday and the ball went up and down the ground in the windy conditions as Coolum used handpasses to keep the game going and open.

Everyone is getting a touch and doing their little bit for the team so well done everyone.

Our Breaker Under 10 Reds battled the Noosa Farmers Market crowd to take on Noosa Red in a very even contest between two eager and talented outfits. Scott's team looked every bit a classy side and we love how this team is developing.

Our Coolum Under 11's had the bye in the 11 team competition this week.

Back at Breakers HQ our Under 13s took to the field at 11am against the winless Gympie Cats.

While conspiracy theorists foresaw our Breakers Under 13s taking all before them in Div 2, our team went into the game with just the 1 win and really wanting to do well against the bottom team.

With Dash Myers again leading from the front, and Lachie Astley kicking 4 and Cian Mallon 3, Coolum took the choccies by 71 points

Finals Scores
Coolum 12 – 12  84 to  Gympie 2 – 1  13

Best Players: Dash Myers, Grant Turner Dawes, Cian Mallon, Tanner Griffiths, Lachie Forsythe, Jack Elsley,
Goals: Lachie Astley 4, Cian Mallon 3, Tanner Griffiths 2, Jake Tolhoek 2, Tom Akeroyd 1

At Kawana Park at 11.30am it was our Under 15s taking on the Eagles in a match that pitched our second placed Breakers (1 win ahead of) against the home side.

With all our representative players back it was a bit of one way traffic in the end as Coolum prevailed by 83 points.

Our Under 15 Girls team took on bottom of the ladder Glasshouse and enjoyed their best outing for a few week.

In the end it was 80 to 7 to Coolum so well done girls!
