Congratulations Pam!

Recently in partnership with NZF, Volunteering NZ and MTA a federation-based recognition initiative was run to highlight some of the game’s most deserving volunteers and to thank them for their efforts.

A total of $500 in MTA gift vouchers were up for grabs across the AFF region and we asked our footballing community to nominate volunteers that they believed deserved recognition for their efforts.

AFF received a list of praiseworthy nominations from the community which were spread throughout the Greater Auckland region.

'Pam dedicates a huge amount of her time to keep Papatoetoe running and covers all aspects and areas of the club, her official title is secretary, but Pam is so much more than that to the club and can often be seen helping others within the club.  Pam can be serving in the canteen one minute, leasing with the NRFL or federation the next and then helping a first kicks player tie their lace!

Pam fulfils a magnitude of tasks, it is virtually her full time job, but without any remuneration and her efforts are nothing short of amazing.  Pam never says no to anyone and always goes that extra mile to help others in her efforts to take Papatoetoe AFC from a good to a great club!

If every club had a Pam.... Football would be our national game!'
