Reappointment of Andrew Kirk as Premier Women's Coach

President David Owen and the Executive Committee are pleased to announce the reappointment of Andrew Kirk as Coordinator of Women’s Football for a further year with a right of renewal.

Andrew joined Papatoetoe AFC in 2012 bringing with him a team of young players that entered the Conference league. The following year saw the club enter a team in the Premier league, a position it has held since 2014. Andrew’s vision for the female side of the game, being to introduce a pathway from junior to youth to senior, saw us introduce a 12th grade girls’ team and a 17th grade girls’ team in the 2015 competitions, a Premier women’s team and a Division 3 team that won its league.

The 2016 season will be an exciting one for the club where it is hoped we will attract additional junior/youth teams and improve its standing in the Premier league. Andrew has finalised his coaching team for the 2016 season. This includes Graeme McRae and Rebecca Tegg as his assistants for the Premier team and Selwyn Bradley and Tim Ragg as the coaches of the Premier Reserve team. Tim will also coach our 17th grade girls’ team which is an important team with these girls pushing for places in the Premier squad.

We thank Andrew for his commitment to our club and look forward to working with him in 2016 and beyond.

David Owen
Club President
