Lotto NRFL Awards open

After proving hugely popular in recent seasons, the public-driven Lotto NRFL end-of-season awards have returned for 2015 with online voting launched today.

Over 6000 votes flooded in during the two-stage process last season as winners were found for the Player of the Year award in all four divisions of the Lotto NRFL.

The overall Coach of the Year was also chosen by the public while an Official of the Year was named by the league’s referee appointments panel.

The Golden Boot winners in each division were also recognised for their goalscoring exploits.

The same format will be followed this season with everyone getting a chance to have their say on which players and coaches had the biggest impact on another exciting edition of the Lotto NRFL.

The voting process will be split into two parts with the first stage asking the public to vote on who they believe has been the best player on each team in all four divisions.

Stage two will then pit the top vote-getters from each team against each other to find the identity of the season’s best player for each division.

The public will also get the opportunity to vote on the coach of the year with a similar system used to find the best leader in the Lotto NRFL.

The first stage of the coach voting will be conducted within each of the four divisions with the respective winners then coming head-to-head in stage two to find the ultimate winner.

Stage one of the voting process is now open and will close on September 20. Stage two voting will commence immediately after on September 21.
