Emily Bates & Jordan Zanchetta Drafted to Western Bulldogs!

Emily Bates and Jordan Zanchetta were two of four Queenslanders named in the third AFL Women's Draft held at Etihad Stadium in Melbourne in late April. Both girls were drafted by the Western Bulldogs and will play in two exhibition matches against Melbourne in 2015, the first being played at The MCG on May 24.

It's a credit to Emily and Jordan's hard work and dedication to be amongst the best 50 female AFL players in Australia.

Emily has been a long time and successful member of the Yeronga girls and female teams. She was named All Australian at Youth Girls National Championships 2011, 2012, 2013 and captained the Under 18 Queensland team 2011, 2012, and 2013.  She made the QWAFL team of the year in 2013 and 2014 and is captain of the Yeronga Devils for 2015

Jordan has also been a long time and successful member of the Yeronga girls and female teams and currently co-ordinates our Auskick program and will coach the Yeronga Under 13 girls in 2015.  She received Youth Girls All-Australian selection in 2011 and 2012 and has featured in the women’s league team of the year in 2012, 2013 and 2014.
