2018 was been a big year for the Morningside JAFC. There was a record number of registrations where we cracked the 500 registered players mark, with all age group numbers increasing and the highlight being the launch of our first Girls' Teams.

Our Saturday mornings at the club were as busy as ever with the front and back ovals at capacity, not to mention the return of the BBQ, which was a main focal point for our members.

Some of the highlights are listed below but a special mention goes to:

  • The Trivia Night - taking our fundraising to a new level
  • Installing irrigation on the back oval - which meant we went through the season with grass on the oval.

Overall the year was very successful with five out of six youth teams in the finals and many happy players and their families enjoying a game of footy each week.

Like all junior sporting clubs we rely heavily on our volunteers at all levels whether it be our committee, coaches, team managers, umpire coordinators and parents who volunteer each week to make the experience for our kids a memorable one. Thanks to everyone for a wonderful year and make sure you get down to the club during the off season to practice your kicking and enjoy the facilities. Go Panthers!
