Summary of 2015 Club Survey results

Summary of 2015 Club Survey results

Firstly, a big thank you to all families who took the time to complete our recent Club Survey! Well over 100 families responded, which gave us valuable insight into where we are performing well, but more importantly where we need to make improvements.

Below is a summary of results in the 4 areas covered in the survey:

Club administration: 88% responded good/excellent.

Club communication: 90% responded good/excellent. We acknowledge some early problems with the Juniors newsletter. Please note the club has now combined our newsletters into one...the Purr of the Panther. You should be receiving a regular copy of Purr of the Panther by email. Please check your bulk/spam email folders if you haven’t seen it, and notify us at if you have had a change of email address.

Also you can follow the club on the following Social Media links:

Team communication: 90% responded good/excellent. The club would like to encourage the extensive use of TeamApp for all teams in 2016. Instructions for accessing TeamApp can be found at the end of this document. Please download this app as we will be instructing managers to utilise it throughout the season. INstructions for downloading and using TeamApp can be found here.

Availability of clothing merchandise: 52% good/excellent. We have heard your request for a greater selection of merchandise and an improvement in the accessibility to the store, and we’re pleased to let you know that we will soon announce some exciting additions to our merchandise range, and a brand new online merchandise and clothing portal provided by our new supplier Tribal Sport. Stay tuned!

Quality of training: Approx 80% rated good/excellent. The condition of the back oval was one of the main concerns noted. We have been working hard to address this issue...stay tuned for some exciting news in this regard soon!

Coaches feedback: All questions answered with average of over 80% rating Strongly Agree/Agree. We are very proud of our coaching staff, but will continue to strive to be always advancing our coaching standards, and addressing any issues that arise.

If you have any concerns or questions about coaching staff please advise Andrew Gray (U6 – U11) or Tim Fynes-Clinton (U12 – U17) by email at Of course we would also love to hear from you with positive feedback you have for your coaches!

Game Day:

General operation of Home Games, and First Aid: Over 90% responded good/excellent.

Catering/restaurant/bar facilities: We acknowledge that there were respondents who felt that improvements in these areas would benefit the Club, and we’ve passed your thoughts onto the Club Board who has responsibility for the restaurant/bar/function room/gaming facilities. They are currently conducting a review into the operation of these areas of the Club.

Participation of parents as volunteers: 82% responded good/excellent. Volunteers are the backbone of our club...please continue to volunteer when/wherever you can to ensure our Club runs smoothly at all times. If you are able to volunteer your time to assist with the running of the club (including social activities) please contact our Secretary Janet Martin at

Youth football pre game attire: The majority of respondents would like a more uniform look to our Youth teams on game day. We agree, and believe a professional and consistent image is important to our Club and our brand. We are in the final stages of reviewing our Game Day clothing. Stay tuned!

Social activities:

While many respondents felt we ran sufficient events throughout the season, there was definitely a call to increase our social options for both children and parents. Some ideas raised were movie nights, a day at the races, and a return of the good old Pie Night. To facilitate this expansion, we now welcome Emma McCarthy to our Juniors Committee as our Social/Fundraising Coordinator.

If you have what you think is a great idea for an event, please share it with us!

Once again, our sincere thanks to all who responded to the Survey. We will continue to work hard to listen to your feedback, and build the best club possible for players and their families.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
