Boutique Meats is one of few butcher shops offering the finest meats that Australia has to offer, allowing us to combine traditional preparation standards, professional staff and our signature quality cuts.
Last Saturday we witnessed one of the best games for the year of U8 AFL between Kenmore Green (coached by Brendan Dennis) and Kenmore Gold (coached by Mark Russell). A very large number of our players across both teams have been with our club since Auskick and it was great to see how far they all had progressed in terms of their basic skills and teamwork.
We have 4 teams in our U8 playing group and at the start of the season and in line with the clubs football philosophy, it was our goal to establish as even teams as we could to ensure maximum participation, learning development and fun. Well we certainly saw that on the weekend between these two teams with the football moving up and down the ground at a frenetic pace, with plenty of goals being scored and all players being involved having one team not dominating the other.
While we don’t like to focus too much on individual efforts, a special mention must be given to our two players of the week being Asher Brownrigg (Kenmore Green) and Addison Stolz (Kenmore Gold). Asher’s game was about as good as I have seen over the past 3 years at the club with his general skills and ability to stay on his feet being the highlights. Addison is always a positive contributor to Kenmore Green and on this occasion he was award player of the week for his exceptional teamwork and efforts to bring his teammates into the game. All our other players should also be very proud of their efforts as many parents commented after the game how enjoyable it was to watch. Note: Just to close we need to mention and welcome some new U8 players (and families) to the club who played in this game on the weekend, Xander Brickhill, Oliver Smith and Thomas Koenig. We thank them and their parents for choosing our club and hope to have them all as players for many years to come.
