As with previous years, each Junior team will be allocated nights throughout the season for which parent/guardian helpers are required to help out in the canteen. Each week and up to this point members of the committee as well as a few additional helpers have spent the bulk of their Friday nights either cooking or serving others. They/we are also parents wanting to end our weeks by enjoying our Friday nights with family, friends and getting to know other club members, so it's time to spread the load just a little.
Each Friday night will be divided into two time slots; 5.30 - 6.30pm will be allocated to U8 Teams (4x Helpers required) and 6.30 - 7.30pm will be allocated to U9 & U10 Teams (5x Helpers required). Based on this and the number of junior teams we have, no parent/guardian should need to be allocated more than 3 x 1 hour time slots to assist between now and the end of the season, if shared equally. All helpers will on the night be under the direction of the nights canteen coordinator (committee member) with serving drinks and food the only work predominately required.
You assistance would be greatly appreciated, sends a great signal to our kids and will continue our tradition of being a great family club where everyone contributes. U8 Blue and U9 Gold are scheduled for this coming Friday night and it will be the responsibility of Team Managers to allocate helpers in advance just the same as it is for game day jobs.
