Practice Match #1

Saturday the 9th of March saw the BFNC venture North to Heathcote for 3 games of Netball and 6 quarters of Football.

The girls started the day off with the netballers playing indoors. With tempuratures soaring around the mid 30's, the girls played well maintaining a good grip on all games.

There were some experiments with on court postions and some... new talent was unearthed. Overall Broadford accounted for Heathcote in the netball.

The Footballers kicked off at 12.30. With several new faces in the Broadford line up, it took a bit of time to find their feet. After 2 quarters of football, the boys were down by 30 points.

After a long break, a refreshed Broadford took to the ground. It was very exciting to watch with our younger players growing in confidence as the game progressed.

It was also pleasing to see experienced players stepping up, showing leadership and looking after the younger group.

In a spirited contest, Broadford held there own taking out the game quite comfortably in the end.

Our next practise game is at Nagambie on the 23rd of March
