Lancefield vs Broadford & Romsey vs Broadford notes.

With our A grade girls enjoying a bye, only 5 teams were to take the field/court at Lancefield last Saturday.

In the netball, B Grade had a 10 goal win over the tigers.

C grade got off to a slow start with an injury to our GS Jordyn early in the 1st quarter. However, with Stevie as replacement and Rach's determination we managed to settle and get on with the game. Brooke and Em in defence kept the Lancefield goalers to 1 goal in the 2nd quarter which set us up with a 7 goal lead at half time. Changes in defence by replacing Brooke with Kate and bringing Madi on in WD confirmed the depth we have to our side. Special mention to Em who played GK all day with no contacts or obstructions!! Strong games by Mel, Chloe & Jess in the centre court and a return in the last quarter for Jordyn ensured another win for our c graders. Bad luck to Lancefield who are always fierce competitors to the end.

The U18s produced a huge 79 point win, with 4 majors a piece to Hall and Berry. Best players for the day went to Harvey, Hussey, Hall, Blay, Ezard and Nesbitt-Gardas. Well done guys!

The Reserves also had a very nice win, trouncing the tigers by 89 points. Again, well done guys!

Unfortunately, despite the day being set up for an across the board victory for the Broadford Football Netball Club, the seniors lost.

Good luck to all teams today against Romsey! It is going to be a huge test today with Romsey sitting 2nd in the Seniors and top in the Reserves.

The netball is set to be a tough skillful contest as we sit on equal ladder points with Romsey in the A grade, Romsey sit top and undefeated in the B grade and then we have our C graders playing to cement top spot and continue their sensational undefeated streak. Come on down to support and cheer on your netballers.
