LEITH DICKER CUP - Saturday March 16 | Netball Wrap

It was a warm day in Woodend for the Leith Dicker Cup as the Hawks girls enjoyed a hit out against our friends at the Saints.

Our youngest netballers were up first with our 15’s and 17’s enjoying a strong win across five quarters. With some key players unavailable, the teams showed great versatility by maintaining consistent scoring in each quarter regardless of the combination.

C & B grades also had strong wins with both teams showcasing their new line ups for the year. Strong defence right across the court was key with a good mix of talls and quicks on display.

19’s & A grade had their work cut out for them against the Saints but it gave us such a good opportunity to work on a number of combinations. It was great to have new mum Maddy Staresina back on court and get our first real look at our new players in action. Our youngsters impressed with 2019 looking like an exciting year ahead!
