INSIGHT NIGHT SERIES

“PLANNING FOR FINANCIAL SECURITY”

7:00pm for 7.30pm — 10 June 2014

Mazenod College Lecture Theatre, O’Rourke Building

We have assembled a panel of experts to provide some general guidance on the strategies available in planning for financial security.

This session will follow a Q&A format and will cover topics including setting and managing household budgets, personal insurances (life, TPD and income protection), superannuation (contributions, self-managed funds and pension phase planning), retirement planning more generally, and structuring and financing personal investments and business activities.  The objective is not to provide advice, but rather is educative so that you are better placed to consider your options and the professional advice you may need.

Our expert panel comprises:

* Bree Grant, a partner in the Wheeler’s Hill accountancy firm Young and Grant (www.youngandgrant.com.au) where she advises individuals and small businesses.  Bree and her husband, Dale, a Mazenod graduate from 1996, have had a long association with the Mazenod Old Collegians’ Football Club (MOCFC).

* Chris Belleville, a partner with Nugents Group in Southbank (www.nugents.com.au) has particular expertise in the area of self-managed superannuation funds.  Chris is an old boy from the 1989 graduating class and is the founding President of the recently established MOCFC Past Players and Supporters Club.

*Carl Steinfort is the principal at Steinfort Financial (www.steinfortfinancial.com.au) and has expertise in financial planning and insurance.  Carl is an old boy from the 1994 graduating class.

*Mark Davenport leads the Bendigo Bank Pinewood Community Bank Branch (mark.davenport@bendigoadelaide.com.au) and is well placed to share his experience on financing and retirement planning issues.   Mark’s branch has provided financial support to the Mazenod Old Collegians’ Cricket Club, Mazenod United Football Club and MOCFC.

Please join us for what should be an informative evening for the Mazenod College Community.

Tony Pane, Panel Chair and MOCA President.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
