Strong wins all round

The Seniors consolidated the position atop the ladder with a clinical 40-point win over Old Ivanhoe. After the heroics of the previous week, the team could have been forgiven for being a little flat, but they were anything but. A five goal to one opening term set the foundation for the win. Heath Black kicked 6 goals in his return from injury and Mick Johnson three. Tim Bourbon and Ben Phibbs were named best.

The Reserves had an important win over third-placed Old Ivanhoe to stay two games clear in second place. The Nodders were slow out of the blocks, trailing by 14 points at half-time, but Steve Mann (4 goals), Sam Jones (3 goals) and Patty Flanagan got things moving after the break. Eight goals to nil in the second half saw Mazenod run out 38-point winners.

The Thirds juggernaut rolled on with a 96-point demolition of Old Camberwell. Cam Raine slotted 10 and Anthony Ciavarellafour in the big win. David Sheehan and Dan Nisbet also got plenty of it.

The Under 19s showed the strength of their character with 12-point victory over Caulfield. The young side controlled the game from quarter time and came away with a much deserved victory. Liam Riley was BOG with two goals, Rob McCarthy andMichael Selvadurai were again amongst the best, and Declan Fowler was also good with three goals.
