Senior Match Report - Round 4 Vs. Manningham

After their loss to Masala last week, the Seniors made six big changes, heading in for our first away game at Manningham. Kicking into the wind in the first quarter wasn't ideal for our confidence early, as forward entries were extremely scarce. The Cobras won majority of the tap outs and clearances all day as we were again reliant on to few. Coach Cotsis chose experience in the defence which meant giving up height and in the long run, it was a tough ask for the boys who never stopped fighting. For the Synners, new recruit Dave Fernandez, was a stand-out and 4 of our 5 goal-kickers, (led by "Grug" 2) played their first game for the year.

Next week against an under-manned Eley Park for "Ladies Day", will be a test but, we expect an improved team effort

Goal Kickers: J. Farrugia 2, A. Wells, M. Millar, C. Austin, D. Fernandez
Best Players: D. Fernandez, T. Thorburn, C. Austin, J. Edwards, D. Cook
