Another tough assignment for the Synners as they hosted ladder leaders Canterbury. An undermanned Chadstone were on the back foot from the start of the match, as a more skillful and precise Canterbury were able to clear the ball out of stoppages and move with ease into their forward line. Missed tackles and missed targets by foot hurt the Synners as Canterbury were able to capitalise on turnovers and apply huge scoreboard pressure. As the game wore on injuries for the Synners took their toll and rotations dropped proving to be a key difference between the two sides with Canterbury rotating four players each time. In the end the Synners ran out steam and could not stop a rampant Canterbury who are hitting great form heading into the final rounds of the season. Another loss for the Synners who will be looking forward to the last bye of their season to rest, recover and finish of their season strongly.
