The Synners hosted Masala at Jordan Reserve in what was a big day for both clubs. The Ressies were 2-0 in the history record against Masala and they were intent on improving on it.
The Synners boasted an almost Senior calibre side which included 2016 first gamers Tommy Arthur, Johnny, Duke, Crommo, Blake and co.
Aside from losing the 3rd quarter, it was a dominant display with many highlights. But, the biggest highlight was perhaps the mark of the day with Ricky's one-hander where he then kicked truly.
The song was then sand loud and proud in the half-circle, so they could read the words . . . .

One our main rivals would be when we take on Masala at Jordan Reserve. After splitting results last year, we knew this would be a big game. When the Synners went forward, the Masala back line and spare defenders stood tall. Masala were very methodical moving the ball as well handballing back to go forward on countless occasions. The Tigers kicked 2-5 for the first quarter and gave the Synners plenty of opportunities to get in the game but, they stuck to their game plan and managed to pound on 7 goals to 1 in the 2nd quarter for an almost insurmountable lead at the half. Synner coach, Jason Cotsis, implored his group to come together and not rely on so few. Although the Synners started to hit the scoreboard, there was a Masala reply each time. Come the fourth, Masala stuck to their guns and ran out 100 pt winners. Chaddy relied too heavily on Dave Bennett in the ruck and Freo has found a spot in the forward line with 2 goals. Congrats to Brian Callan on his first Senior game in 3 years at the club
