With the end of the season in sight Chadstone traveled to Koonung Reserve to take on the Manningham Cobras. Both teams desperate for a win, the game proved to be an even contest in the first quarter with Manningham edging their way to a lead heading into the quarter time break. The second quarter proved to be main difference between the two sides as Manningham kicked five goals to the Synners 2. The second half produced a tough, even style of football and as the game wore on energy levels and skills declined as both teams missed targets and couldn't stick tackles. In the end Mannignham were able to maintain scoreboard pressure and hold on for a solid 33 point win and break a two game loosing streak. For the Synners, four quarters of football remain for their season and they will be keen to put in a solid four quarter performance to round out their season as they host Box Hill North.
