Chadstone headed down to the peninsula for their round 12 clash against ninth place South Mornington. After the whole competition break the Synners were full of energy and enthusiasm from the first bounce, with both sides fighting hard for the ball and creating their opportunities inside 50. The difference proved to be accuracy as the Synners went into half time with three more scoring shots than South Mornington however only scoring 13 consecutive behinds. The third quarter lacked pressure and discipline from the Synners as they let South Mornington run freely across the ground and take control of the game. A three quarter time spray inspired the Synners to stick to their structures and play a better style of football. The Synners fought their way back into the game and got within five points of their opposition late in the last quarter but were unable to control the momentum of the game with South Mornington hitting the scoreboard and finishing strongly to notch up their third win for the season.
