After a week to forget against Box Hill North, the Synners were keen to get back out on the field at home and show a full four quarter effort.
The Synners showed glimpses of the brand of football they are capable of but turnovers and basic skill errors crept into the game as Point Cook built a 40 point at half time.
In the second half Chadstone began to find some aggression and started to win some 50/50 contests. As the game wore on tensions grew higher between the two sides however the Synners were unable to capitalise on Point Cook's lapses in discipline.
In the final quarter, playing to the conditions and fitness became the difference between the two sides as Point Cook were cleaner with possession and more accurate in front of goal to run out big winners. Yet again the Synners have an opportunity to regroup and come out firing after the mid season break against South Mornington.
