TAC CUP - Murray Bushrangers vs Eastern Ranges

MURRAY BUSHRANGERS vs EASTERN RANGES

ROUND 17 TAC CUP – SUNDAY 23 AUGUST 2015

12.00 PM – WANGARATTA SHOWGROUNDS

The Murray Bushrangers take on fellow TOP 4 contender the Eastern Ranges this Sunday it what is shaping as one of the games of the TAC CUP Season. With both teams at close to full strength and coming off big wins last weekend, Wangaratta will once again be treated to high class TAC CUP action.

The Murray were impressive in last week’s strong win over an hard working Calder Cannons outfit. There was a real lift in intensity, effort and skill level across the group, the midfield of Clayton Oliver (35 disposals last week), Murray Waite, Jake Marshall and Dylan McDonald (Albury) capitalised on the dominance of 200cm Wodonga ruckman Mitch King.

The backline led by Myrtleford key defender Brady Sharp and Corowa’s Ryan Garthwaite have been relentless all season and are now adding some rebound through the run and carry of Lachlan Tiziani, Harry Morrison & Lachlan Tanner. The Murray Bushrangers continue to pose a threat up forward through the competiveness and class of key forward Josh Schache who has been ably assisted by small forwards Ethan Boxall & Luke Smith .

Sitting 3rd on the ladder with a healthy percentage of 138 the Bushrangers welcome Jindera and Albury youngster Max Lynch for his debut. Bushrangers Assistant Coach Ben Davey was full of praise of the talented youngsters “At 198cm Max has developed well throughout the season, whilst he is quite raw he has enormous upside and everyone at the club is excited about having him in the team”.

Benalla’s David Mennen will return from VFL duties with Collingwood this week where is class, poise and work-rate will be crucial to the Bushrangers whilst 17 year old due Isaac Wallace (Wodonga) and James Cousins (Mansfield) also return.
