TAC CUP North Ballarat Rebels vs Murray Bushrangers

The Murray Bushrangers take on the North Ballarat Rebels this Saturday in the TAC CUP top of the table clash at Highgate Recreation Reserve in Craigieburn. The Bushrangers will be shooting for five wins in a row and will keen to amend for an 18 point loss to the Rebels earlier in the season.

Coach Darren Ogier said the his young chargers were ready for the challenge, “We go into the clash with a number of players who are in really good form, they are working hard as a team and are full of confidence on the back of four wins in a row”

“North Ballarat are clearly one of the stronger teams in the competition and they gave us a real lesson in intensity and work rate earlier in the season, we feel we have improved since then and look forward to our leaders really stepping up to the mark this week” “Players such as Dylan McDonald, Shaun Mannagh, Jake Marshall and Murray Waite will be relied upon to ensure we prepare professionally and start the game with an appetite for the contest”.

”The Bushrangers welcome back David Mennen from the Victorian Country Under 18 team and Myrtelford key position player Ryley Sharp. Isaac Wallace (Wodonga Bulldogs) and Louis Pinnuck (Strathmerton) will make their TAC CUP debut following solid form at senior level.

Ogier was full of praise for both boys “Wallace is an outstanding young man who has returned from a broken leg he suffered early last season, he is strong at the contest has clean hands and deserves his opportunity”. “Louis has been promoted off the rookies list after impressing the match committee with his running power & skill level at training which has been complimented with strong form with the Strathmerton senior team”

The game will be played at Highgate Recreation Reserve from 1.30pm this Saturday 13 June 2015 and is being streamed live on TAC Cup Radio which can be found via the Red Time sport app free to download from the ITunes store or via the link on www.taccup.com.au
