TAC CUP - Murray Bushrangers vs Bendigo Pioneers

The Murray Bushrangers commence their 2015 TAC CUP season this Saturday when they take on the Bendigo Pioneer at the Benalla Showgrounds.

Following strong practice match form with wins over Bendigo and Geelong Falcons the Bushrangers head into round full of confidence.

TAC CUP Coach Darren Ogier was pleased with the preparation ‘as a coaching group we have been pleased with the pre-season campaign, playing against four TAC CUP clubs has provided the players with a clear understanding of the level of football required’.

‘There is no doubt that round 1 will again see a lift in intensity, we are looking forward to seeing how the boys go in what should be a great game of football for the local Benalla community to enjoy’.

Ogier has been pleased with the clubs leaders who have provided great on and off field direction. “The squad have gelled really well, whilst they don’t get a lot of time together we are committed to making every second count, this is something the boys have taken on board’

This week will see the TAC CUP debut of eight new players who will be making their debut with the Murray Bushrangers. They include; Bowen Smith (Nathalia), Harrison Tanner (Albury), Trent McMullan (Wodonga), Ryan Garthwaite (Lavington), Fletcher Carroll (Albury), Josh Minogue (North Albury), Max Canfield (Yarrawonga), & Clayton Oliver (Mooroopna).

This weekend’s game commences at 2.00pm at the Benalla Showgrounds with the Under 16’s commencing at 12 noon.
