Round 9 Murray Bushrangers vs Oakleigh Chargers

TAC CUP Preview

Coming off a 2 point victory over a powerful Sandringham Dragons last week the Murray Bushrangers host the ladder leader Oakleigh Chargers this Saturday at the Wangaratta Showground’s.

Coach Darren Ogier was impressed with the intensity of the team early in last week’s game. “Often the city boys are slow out of the blocks when they come to Wangaratta and it is important that we start the game well, we did that last week and will looking for a similar intensity against the Chargers this week” Ogier said.

“The Chargers are a quality side with good runners complimented with good height across the ground, there is no doubt this will be one of the toughest challenges of the season”

“We welcome back into the team some run through the midfield with Jake Marshall, Shaun Mannagh and Jim Carroll all welcome additions”.

“200cm Mooroopna lad Alex Tattersall will get an opportunity to play across the half back line while Tom Holman will provide a focal point up forward as he returns from a minor calf niggle’

“The energy has been good at training this week and we are very eager to get 3 wins in a row leading into next weekend’s bye”

This week’s game commences at 1.00pm at Norm Minns Oval in Wangaratta.
