Coach Satterley Announces Resignation

Head Coach Paul Satterley formally announced his resignation following the Knights Round 19 game against the Eastern Ranges.

Satterley has coached the Knights in the last two seasons and is highly regarded for his coaching abilities and his empathy for players. As a past graduate of the TAC Cup with the Western Jets,  Satterley understands the challenges that confront players as they pursue  their football ambitions and try to balance all the other aspects of their lives at the same time.

He took the Knights to a Preliminary Final in his first year as coach in 2007 - a year which saw five Knights players drafted into the AFL.

Satterley has taken up a senior role with Dons Smallgoods/KRC, which has made it difficult to continue in his role in the TAC Cup.

Satterley's passion for football and the Northern Knights was prevalent until the very end. "I thoroughly enjoyed my time here as Head Coach in an elite competition. It's such a great environment for these boys and I just hope they appreciate it. As their coach I'll sorely miss the involvement with these boys, watching them grow up and develop. I'll certainly be very proud of whatever bigger and better things they go on to."

The Knights wish Paul and his family all the best moving forward.
