Wyndham Suns hold Reach Workshop

Now that the footy season is officially over we have had some time to reflect on an important event we held for our Under 17 and Under 19 players midway through the season.

We held our first Reach Foundation workshop which was kindly and proudly sponsored by RAMS.

The workshop was attended by players and the Under 19s coach Alex Luca, and concentrated on looking after your mates and other issues facing young men.

It turned out to be a very powerful session with all of the boys engaging in the different activities, Chris Lear, Captain of the Under 19s told us that "it was an opportunity to open up in a safe environment knowing that your mates were there for you and knowing you weren't being judged for anything you said."

We received a lot of positive feedback from the group after the session and the common theme was that this was by far the best workshop they had attended regarding this topic.

The club was astounded by the level of commitment that the playing group showed with over 85% attending.

The Wyndham Suns Football Club would like to thank Rams for providing the opportunity to hold this and it's something we would look at continuing in the years to come
