Game Day Operations required by CCDJRL


Please see below list of Game Day Operations required by CCDJRL. Further information & details can be obtained in the CCDJRL By-Laws & Operations Manual


The information below could be a good tool to send to all coaches.


  • Clubs Hosting  games are to notify CCDJRL President by 6am on the day that the games are to take place if there ovals are unplayable. The club secretary must contact the traveling clubs due to attend there ground of the postponed games.


  • Ground Manager are to Visible & contactable at all times in Vest approved by CCDJRL Displaying the words GROUND MANAGER.


  • Accredited NRL Sports Trainer (Level 1 or Level 2) is NOT in attendance, the game(s) shall NOT commence under any circumstances until such person is available.



*All players are to be attired in football jumpers, socks and shorts approved by the Central Coast Junior Rugby League.

*All players are to play in football boots approved by the Central Coast Junior Rugby League.

*CRL Junior League (Mini) footballs are to be used in mini games Under 6’s, 7’s, 8’s, 9’s

*CRL Junior League (Mod) footballs are to be used in mod games Under 10’s, 11’s, 12’s

*CRL International footballs are to be used in international games Under 13’s, 14’s, 15’s, 16’s,17’s

*Host clubs to provide two game balls, two time clocks two touch judge flags, sign on books and Ground Managers.

*Both clubs are to provide a timekeeper (over the age of sixteen), touch judges and League safe personnel.

*It is the responsibility of the home club to ensure the grounds are suitably marked and equipped to allow safe and efficient running of the games.


  •  Allowed inside the roped off area are the Coach, Team Manager, Sports Trainer’s, Assistant Coach, two League Safe personnel, Tee runner approved by CCDJRL and a Timekeeper (over the age of sixteen).


  • Coaches must not yell instructions from the bench. Use your League Safe Trainer to give instructions when administering water. If this is your style of coaching you will be required to stand behind the restricted area of the field. However, once you have made the decision to coach in this style you must remain behind the restricted area for the entire match.


  • All Team Managers are bound by the exact same boundaries as the Coach in relation to the reserves bench. Team Managers will ensure that his/her team has a Timekeeper and a Touch Judge for the game. (touch judges must be 2 years older than the age of players competing and MUST be wearing enclosed footwear, NO THONGS). Team Managers must assist the Ground Manger in keeping control of unruly spectators and officials upon request.  


  • All Persons inside the Roped & Fenced Official Areas are to have their PINK Official Card Visible.(Exception to Referees/Touch Judges of game being played or game next to be played).


  • The Reserve Bench is for players who are participating in the current match being played. It is NOT for players who, although a member of the team are not competing in the current game.

The Reserves bench will only contain:

* Reserves,

* One coach (except where an Accredited Assistant Coach has been indicated on the Grading Sheet),

* One Manager,

* Two League Safe Trainer’s,

* A Sports Trainer’s of either Level 1 and/or Level 2. No person other than an NRL Accredited Sports Trainer, or those with NRL acceptance, shall administer first aid or offer advice to an injured / ill player. Personnel with other qualifications must be ratified by the Sport Trainer Education Coordinator and equate with the NRL Sports Trainer Scheme, to receive a Statement of Attainment and an NRL ID Number. The Accredited NRL Sports Trainer shall, at all times (whilst a game is in progress) be in a position to respond quickly should an injury / illness occur. The Accredited NRL Sports Trainer shall have the final say on

whether a player should continue in the game and when to resume playing in the game. Serious injuries requiring a Medical Clearance prior to training / playing must be presented to the Club’s NRL Sports Trainer.


  • Game Times are (Junior League-MINI U/6, U/7s, U/8s, U/9s - 4 X 8 Minute Periods), (Junior League MOD U/10s, U/11s, U/12s - 2 X 20 Minute halves), International (U/13,14s & 15s- 2 X 25 Minute halves), (U/16 & 17s- 2 X 30 Minute halves) Half time breaks are to be no longer than 10 Minutes.


  • Time Off is only for Injury when signalled by Referee in the U/16s & U/17s ONLY.


  • A ‘Time Out’ system will be introduced whenever a severe ‘melee’ occurs. A melee is considered to be misconduct involving more than two players in the game at any one time.

The Referee will signal a ‘Time Out’ period and call for the ground manager to bring both coaches onto the field (Teams will move to either end of the field). The Game will only continue if and when The Ground Manager and the Referee agree.

If and when the game continues and another melee occurs the referee will deal with any players for offences and then abandon the game immediately.


  • In the case of a player being dismissed/sent off during a game, the player must:-

(i) Leave the playing field immediately.

(ii) Change from his/her playing attire.

(iii) Not return to the bench area

(iv) Report to the Referee immediately after the game to receive and sign the Dismissal Sheet. He/She can be accompanied by an Advocate at this point. However, any dissent or grievance

directed at the Referee could lead to further charges in relation the CCDJRL Codes of Conduct.

(v) Be aware what charge has been laid against you ie. What you have been sent off for.


  • The host Club Secretary / Ground Manager It is your role to:-

(i) Assist the Referee in having the player and his Advocate on hand to accept the Dismissal Sheet.

(ii) Ensure that the Player/Advocate know when and where the Judiciary takes place.  Division Office – 3/6 Morton Close, TUGGERAH – Each Monday 6pm.

(iii) Advise Division President (0432576785) of Dismissals.

Obtain the White copy of the Dismissal Sheet and either Fax or Email to Division Office by 7.30pm with game sheet. Send original copy to Division Office with original Match Sheets.


  • All scores & reports are to be Faxed or Emailed into CCDJRL office by 7.30pm of the day the games have been played.


  • Match sheets (Original White Copy) are to be Posted and reach the Division office by the following Tuesday – PO Box 3496 Tuggerah NSW 2259.


  • A completed copy of the Referees Dismissal Report is to be handed to the dismissed player on the day of the match at the ground and the original copy of the Referees Dismissal Report is to be faxed to the Division office by 7.30pm on the day of the game with the Results Sheets.


  • Match sheets are to have all persons (Team Staff) entering the Roped & Fenced official areas to enter their Name & NRL ID Numbers on the Match Sheet.
