What a fantastic 1st game for the U6 White team winning 4 tries to 3 over St Pats Dundas.
Leichhardt Juniors might have found their next group of champions. Leading the team around the park through exceptional dummy half play was Jackson who gave the ball on many occasions to his hard running Brother Max. Max didn't always take the shortest route to the try line!!

New comers to the club Jayden and Jenson performed to NRL standards with solid running and game winning tackles. We forgot to tell Jensen (our youngest and smallest) that training had stopped and that focus should now be on tackling St Pats, not his Juniors team mates. Once the confusion was cleared up Jenson terrorised our opposition.

Following in their older brothers footsteps, Sienna , Mosi, and Sammy were outstanding in their 1st game for the club. Sienna's hard straight running surprised everyone except for her dad. It must have been that pink head gear that scared all the boys! Mosi's fast feet were captivating. His feet were moving that fast we didn't know if he was actually standing still or going a million miles an hour. Sammy picked up our 1st man of the match award and coach JP stated his ball running and tackling were an inspiration to all his teammates.

Overall it was a great team win and the U6 White team have started on what we hope are long and successful league careers. The club song was sung with pride and could be heard as far away as KG oval! Cheers,

Margaret (Manager)

Sundays game against Dundas was a thriller with both teams arm wrestling each other and attack being the name of the game. some great straight bustling runs from michael helped the attack while gary junior scored a hat trick of tries and richie and elijah side stepped their way to some impressive tries. kit was gutsy in defence, putting his body on the line without fear and xander showed some promise with some skilful runs. big lucas is starting to use his height to advantage with some good off loads and little lucas did some good kicks that resulted in us regaining possession. dundas attack was impressive which meant a high scoring game but all in all leichhardt juniors put in a great effort and are communicating well with each other, despite not having a coach on the field to help. well done boys.= James Ardagna (Manager)

Under 9 White:

Report on sunday`s game Under 9s White

Today we played Carlingford Cougars at St Pats Oval Dundas. We were playing the game with 10 players, so it was a hard game to start with.

Trying to break through their defence was strong  in the first half so we didn`t manage to score whilst the cougars scored with 7 tries and one conversion.

In the second half the team got together and played as a team. Keeping the cougars in their half for most of the game, we managed to score 1 try by Damien and converted goal

by Finn. They cougars only managed to score 1 try in the second half due to our blocking defence. With one player down it was a great improvement in the second half for our team.

Well done juniors. (Don Rulli, Manager)

Leichhardt Juniors 38 - East Hill Bulldogs 0

With a wing and a prayer to the weather gods, the U15’s kicked off for the first game of the season against the East Hills Bulldogs.

And what a match, the practise drills paid off. The attacking play swung into action, it was creative and a joy to watch the muddy warriors play.

East Hills Bulldogs countered with attacking play but the Tigers defence was strong and comprehensive.

A great team effort and 2 tries by Jackson, 2 tries by Myden and single tries by Symyeon and Laurence.  Laurence converted 4 out of 5 goals.

A great team effort, well done boys!  (Samantha, Manager)
