South Perth junior Kurt Deluis made his long awaited debut in the national youth competition last night when he suited up for the Dyldam Parramatta Eels against the Brisbane Broncos.

After starring in the national u18 final for the Townsville stingers against the Sydney Roosters, Deluis has endured a frustrating transition from junior representative duties to graduating to the NYC.The former Queensland schoolboys representative has had to display an enormous amount of perseverance after last year being told he would have to see out the year in Sydney shield due to salary cap pressures - something he says will put him in good stead for what lies ahead.

"Obviously last year was a bit disappointing though I have been able to remain positive and I am really looking forward to this season".

All the Best for the season Kurt from SPRLC
