2017 Information

Welcome to Palmerston Power Basketball Club and the 2017 Challenge Season

We hope everyone had a great off season and is keen to get going for the 2017 Challenge Season.

The Season tips off on Monday Feb 6th.

Darwin Basketball Association is experiencing a few technical difficulties as the system is switched over by Basketball Australia to new registration process.

The new process will be sent out after the Registration forms have been released.

Palmerston Power will send you a team code for the team you have been placed in

You will need this code to register.

Pre-Season Training Day

Sunday 29th of January - Palmerston Recreation Centre

9am – under 10s

10am - under 12s

11am - under 14s

12pm - under 16s

1pm – under 18s

Come along for a fitness session preseason.

As the Club has many teams with 10 players this is great opportunity for the Committee to assess who is returning, who has moved on, who is Coaching, who would like to play up a grade/division, which friends you would like to play with. Let us know and we can do our best to make it work!

Please remember that although all care is given to allow players to be with their social group, the nature of basketball teams is that we need guards, point guard, forwards etc. and the mix of team also should reflect the skill and abilities of players

Come along and let us know

This is not a Sign On Day - all new players will need to contact the club by email to see if they can be placed in a team and all registrations is now done online

Coaches wanted:

We are putting a call out for parents to come forward and assist us to ensure we start the season with all teams having a Coach assigned. If you don’t have experience that is ok! We can assist with mentoring. All Palmerston Power Basketball Club (PPBC) teams have Team Managers who assist the Coach with communicating with the Team and Club and confirming registrations etc. Again, we can help you out with any information you need.

Please consider volunteering! It is very rewarding and is a valuable part of our Club and Community!

As a bonus if you Coach and play you don’t have to pay Club fees!

AGM coming soon:

Interested in how the Club works? Have skill you can offer? Love fundraising? Got creative flair or some ideas to make the Yearbook bigger and better?
Consider joining the Palmerston Power Committee. Information regarding the AGM will be released soon.

Training times and team Allocations: will be organised in the next few weeks. This is a huge undertaking with over 40 teams to finalise. Please be patient as the volunteer committee work their magic!

Darwin Basketball Association (DBA) Office:

Kerri the Executive Officer of the DBA is currently overseas. Please do not ring or email the office. If you have a question email the club and we can probably answer it anyway!

Club Clearances:If you are joining PPBC from another Club, please ensure your Clearance form is filled out correctly and you are cleared financially from your last club.

If you are moving on from PPBC please ensure you have filled out your form correctly. Interstate transfers must be done through, PPBC, DBA and then Basketball NT. This process takes time. Please begin the process now if you are moving on.

No Clearances will be cleared by DBA until Kerri the DBA EO returns from overseas in late January.
Club clearance forms can be downloaded from the Darwin Basketball website >>click here<<
