League Women Thursday – Tracy Village Jets v Uni Rebels

Tania Dhu pumped in 14 points to lead the Tracy Village Jets to an easy 73-43 victory over the Uni Rebels. Dhu (13ppg) led a group of four players to reach double figures as the Bombers racked up win number 7 of the season. They remain undefeated. The Bombers took control of the game early with a 22-8 run in the first quarter and led 33-24 at the half time break. The Rebels put up a bit of resistance in the third quarter, but still trailed 51-39 with a quarter to go. In the last stanza the Bombers shut the door big time holding the Rebels to just four points while hitting twenty. Lending support to Dhu were Tahnee Maxwell (13), Sam Rioli (12) and Tikesa Docherty-Cole (11). Ambah Kowcun (11.4ppg) put in a good individual effort for the Rebels with 15 and Tulaha Jeffrey added 10.

League Men Thursday – Razzle v Uni Rebels

The Uni Rebels blew the Razzle off the court Thursday night to the tune of 92-57. Life without prolific scorer Tim Morris, who has left town, didn’t seem to trouble the Rebels as they went about the business of winning another game. Lance Schmidt (10.8ppg) led the way with a season high 24 points with heaps of support from Jake Kirby (22 including 5 treys), Aaron Simpson (19) and Bradley Jachmann (10). The green and gold hung with the Rebels for the first half, trailing by only 11 at the major break 38-27, but fell by the wayside in the second half as the Rebels charged home hitting 54 points to just 30 for Razzle. David Carroll (10.8ppg) was again the mainstay for the Razzle hitting a team high 16 while Saxon Radecki had 11.
