League Women - Uni Rebels v Razzle

The Uni Rebels beat the Razzle 57-44, but had to stage a come-back to do it. The green and gold had put together a good first half through a solid team effort to lead 21-18. It was a short lived lead as the Rebels regrouped to outscore them 39-23 in the second half. The third quarter proved to be the downfall of the Razzle as Rebel Tulaha Jeffrey came out firing, hitting the first 8pts of the quarter as the Rebels charged ahead to take control of the game. Jeffrey hit a team high 16 followed by Ambah Kowcun with 15 and Chantelle Lee with 12. For the Razzle Lailani Triffitt hit a game high 18 with team mate Erin Boyd adding 11.

League Men - Uni Rebels v Ansett

Another 30+ point game from Tim Morris led the way for the Uni Rebels as they slipped past Ansett 85-74 to stay atop the ladder with an unbeaten record. Unfortunately for the Rebels that was Morris’s last game before returning to the states. He will be sorely missed. Morris led all scorers with a game high 37 with help from Jake Kirby (17) and Lance Schmidt (14). The Blues held a 17-11 first quarter lead, but failed to stop the Rebels from overtaking them. Just before the half time buzzer Morris nailed a three pointer to give the Rebels a 40-37 half time lead. The contest remained close but the Rebels maintained the lead throughout the second half for the win. Matteo Rowse led the Blues with 21 points, Tom Hunt hit 15, Matthew Flanegan 13 and Jake Feeney 11. It was also the last game for player/coach Tom Hunt who will be moving on.
