Big day for the Hawks

Jackson Braunthal knocked up his first century in the Under 16's in the morning making 119 no, in the afternoon he followed it up with a 50 in the seconds. Great work Channy, we know its the first of many for the club, another sign that there is tremendous talent in the club going forward.

Life Member and former captain/coach Steve Garrett helped the club out this week having a game in the 4th XI. Opening up the batting Gaz put on a display launching the ball all over Stintons on his way to a club record 222 not out. Steve had gotten close to making a ton a few times previously but this was his first century at any level.

Not to be outdone former Hawk 1st XI player and current Victorian Academy coach Jarrad Loughman was asked to sub field for the Victorian XI against the South Africans at the MCG and took a ripping catch to dismiss Faf Du Plessis. Rumours of contract for the Big Bash were not dismissed by Joffa. See the catch here http://www.cricket.com.au/…/jarrad-loughman-assi…/2016-11-19
