Hi Pumas,

Firstly to keep up to date with all things Puma visit & bookmark our website: https://www.springwood.aflq.com.au & also “like” both our 2 Facebook Pages:
"Springwood Pumas Junior & Youth" & "Springwood Pumas"

With the season in full swing there is so much happening at your club. So here's a quick update.

What a start its been, record junior numbers, U11s are undefeated, St Pauls Pumas rolled the top team on the weekend in only their  4th ever game, U12s are undefeated & on top, U14s & both U16s teams plus U18s are all super competitive & all in the top 5. The Masters are having a ball with most not injuring their old bodies too badly. Reserves are undefeated & our Seniors are also undefeated & outright clear on top of the ladder. Its early days but what a start!  #THEYEAROFTHEPUMA

Which brings us to the top of the ladder clash for both Reserves & Seniors vs Robina at HOME (Lowe Oval) this Saturday 24-05-14. U18 9.45am, Reserves 11.45, Seniors 2pm. Put on your colors, bring the family & come along & watch some free flowing exciting football.

Milestone Games
Great to see so many players playing their 100th  Puma game recently. U14 Jacob McMaster, Ryan Birnie, Tony Irlam (This Saturday), U16 Jacob Simpson & of course a big shout out to U18 Ben Menz for clocking up 200. What a brilliant achievement & kudos to all these loyal Pumas
.

35 Reunion Feedback
As reported in the last newsletter what a brilliant night the 35 year senior reunion was. Kudos to all involved. The feedback has been brilliant & to give you an indication of the interest. The day the photos & summary newsletter story went onto our website the stats showed over 4,700+ page opens.

Coaches
We have to say a big thanks to all our coaches who have got their teams off to a sensational start this season. A special big thanks to Deano & few other Dads & players who have been visiting the multi-cultural boys at St Pauls school & doing some one on one skills training.  Also a big thanks to Senior Chairman Adrian “Bear” Wallin & Senior Coach Tony King who have done cameos helping the regular coaches train our U10s & U11s. The kids love the seniors helping out & we will see more of this in the future. However, don’t forget to be reciprocal & bring the family to come & watch some senior games to cheer on their new mentor coaches.

Sponsor Thanks
A big thanks to new club sponsor U6 Dad Luke Aston & his company OzWide Freight for supplying new U9 Guernseys & fence signage.  Very much appreciated. Please always support all our Puma Sponsors. To find their details just click on the logos on the LH side of this page. We will also send out a newsletter soon highlighting all team & club sponsors.

Clothing
The demand was so high we ran out of most stock  of our Puma Apparel earlier in the year. We have now restocked our junior shirts, socks & junior training singlets. Also for the fans we now have new SAFC hoodie jumpers & jackets. All are available for sale at the bar. But be quick!

AGM Recap
The Club AGM has come & gone & President/Senior/Junior Chairman reports for season 2013 can be found on our website:    https://www.springwood.aflq.com.au . The committee remains the same as previous with the following exceptions. Kylie Hampson (U16 Mum) has taken up a committee roll in 2014 & Accountant Brett Hetherington has taken on  the treasurers roll. Paul Simpson will only fill in as caretaker Junior Chairman to the end of the season unless a suitable replacement can found in the mean time. If you believe you can help with this roll please contact Paul or President Andrew.  Welcome aboard Kylie & Brett, great to see you put you hands up to help. Much appreciated!

See all on the weekend

GO PUMAS!
