VALE Mick Browne

The Morningside Football Club would like to pass on their sincere condolences to the family and friends of former club champion Mick Browne who sadly passed away recently aged 54


Mick joined Morningside in 1976 after playing 12 games for Collingwood. The goal kicking ruckman played just under 100 senior games and went on to claim 3 Best & Fairest awards in 1977, 1978 and 1981. He was also a member of the 1982 Grand Final team.


A Queensland representative player, Mick also was selected in the forward pocket in Morningside’s Team of Legends (1950-2000). Mick coached the reserves in1986 and 1987 kicking a century of goals in his final year as coach.


Morningside Football Club will wear black armbands as a mark of respect in their round 1 game against the Lions on Sunday April 5
