Final SAP Carnival at TGS in Toowoomba
The Skills Acquisition Progam for 2014 for U10 Boys, U11 Boys & U10-12 Girls concluded on Sunday 23rd November with a magnificient SAP Carnival held at Toowoomba Grammar School.
Utilizing 3 ovals each with 2 fields saw a great day for players to end the inaugural SAP Program.
NPL Clubs from Moreton Bay Utd, Brisbane City, Brisbane strikers, Western Pride, Redlands, Palm Beach & Olympic FC made the trip up to Toowoomba to join with SWQ Thunder on a extremely hot day.
Following a Introduction at 8.30am from Skills Acquisition Queensland Trainer Dean Simpkins, games commenced at 9am with the final game commencing at 2pm, with all teams having 3 games on the day (SWQ Thunder girls had 4 games to help with the draw).
Many Thanks to Peter Broadfoot & Chris McLeod & their band of helpers at TGS with coordination of the fields, First Aid, Canteen & Referees on the day.
Thanks also to our SWQ Thunder parents with assistance with Ground Official duties and helping in the Canteen.
A great day to finish off the Inaugural SAP Program in 2014.
Parents, Coaches & Players were also treated to a visit on the day by several Brisbane Roar Men & Ladies players who took time out to visit the SAP Carnival, mingle with parents/players & sign autographs for plenty of excited youngsters.
