Last time we met: Cats Won in Rd 16 2014 9.7.61 – 8.6.54
The Cats continue their away stretch of games with another early morning game at Warners Bay. The Cats will be looking to get away early in what should be an exciting game. Last season the Cats and Warners Bay both won a game each against each other but the Cats will be looking at getting the upper hand as everyone knows that Cats and Dogs are the fiercest or enemies. The side is coming together and slowly climbing the ladder and will dig their claws in as they are not looking at dropping back at all. The Bulldogs will have their work cut out for them but it should be a good friendly game. Post-match function will be held back at The Muswellbrook Railway Hotel.
What the Coach Says: “Great sings and a wood win this week but still have a long way to go and a lot of hard work ahead yet. This week will be a good test for a wonfident side, Warners Bay are always tough at home but we have the likes of Cameron Benkovic, Jackson Cook and Dean Gaul coming back into the fold. Tom Pain may also be a late inclusion fingers crossed. Should go well and am expecting a tougher game than the last few weeks. This game will really show where we stand and where we are at.”
Skippers words of wisdom: “Pretty keen to line up against some old foes. It is important to win this game more so than our previous two victories. A win will set our year on track.”
Presidents Player in Focus: “This week I pick a bloke that was going to sacrifice playing for the Cats to ensure the future of it by giving up his spot for Juniors coming through the ranks. Jono Williams has since played the last two games and has been outstanding for the team up forward, with a strong pair of hands and a great delivery and finish, he has proven just how valuable he is to both the team and club”

U17’s
Opposition: Warners Bay
Ground: Weeraman Feild
Bounce: 14:20
Jr Presidents Player in Focus: Sean Cargill
With three players named in the Hunter rep side this week the U17’s will be eager for a big game. The cats are sitting third on the ladder but a win this week could see them move to the top of the table. Adam Warner has been training them hard and they look like they ready for a big year and this game could be the first step to achieving that.
U15’s White
Opposition: Newcastle White
Ground: No 1 Sportsground
Bounce: 12:40
Jr Presidents Player in Focus: Campbell Schmierer
The 15 whites will be looking at continuing their winning streak when they take on 2nd place Newcastle Blue this Sunday. The team has been going well and will need to continue their good form to continue to move up the ladder.
U15’s Blue
Opposition: Maitland
Ground: Weeraman Feild
Bounce: 12:40
Jr Presidents Player in Focus: Josh Page
The 15 blues are set for their first win of the season this week. They have looked dangerous on the paddock the last few weeks and should have the skills and fitness to get over the line this week. They should have a big crowd playing after the U13’s and leading up to the U17’s so get there and cheer them to a win.
U13’s
Opposition: Warners Bay
Ground: Weeraman Feild
Bounce: 11:20
Jr Presidents Player in Focus: Riley Sandler
The U13’s are the youngest of the Cats or the clubs kittens if you prefer. They are out on the home paddock this week and will be looking at getting the fundamentals right and having a fun and enjoyable game against the Bulldogs. The kittens are doing well this year working on their skills and fitness and should do well while the season progresses.
