Club Victory - Coaches Forum

Club Victory - Coaches Forum

As part of Club Victory, Four Moreland Zebras coaches were present at the first Victory Forum.

Moreland Zebras like to take this opportunity to thank Melbourne Victory for the opportunity to give coaches a insight into important coaching information, enabling coaches to take valuable information.

While improving players is a goal at Moreland Zebras, educating coaches is another important ingredient to our over all development plan.

Melbourne Victory has welcomed coaches from local clubs to AAMI Park, giving them a unique opportunity to get an insight from the club's coaching staff.

The forum, held in the same venue Melbourne Victory's football department meet to discuss tactics during the week, gave local coaches a chance to hear from Kevin Muscat, Assistant Coach Jean-Paul de Marigny, Youth League Coach Darren Davies, Head of Performance Anthony Crea and the club's Head of Video Analysis Aaron D'Antino.

This was the first time Victory had hosted this type of forum, which allowed coaches from Club Victory clubs to gain valuable coaching techniques and see some of the tools Melbourne Victory's own coaches use for themselves.

Melbourne Victory Chairman Anthony Di Pietro was also in attendance on the night.

Feedback from the Club Victory clubs was uniformly positive.

"It was a great opportunity to be invited into the 'inner sanctum' and the insights provided by Kevin and his team certainly gave all of us in the audience an appreciation of the planning and effort that goes into coaching at the top level," Bayside Argonauts' Chris Kozaris said.

I didn't really know what to expect so I was hugely impressed by the effort that everyone had gone to and really appreciated the time you all put in. I know I got plenty out of the evening as I'm sure the other coaches did also," Essendon Royals SC's Chris Knowles said.
