B Grade Women Grand Final
It’s that time of the season: Grand Final time. Much hooray for Onka Piranhas B Grade Women Blue who will attempt to overthrow Warriors for the title this season!
You may not have had the honour- nay, the privilege, of watching these girls play because they’ve been hidden away in the darkness that is Cornerstone College for the last few seasons. Little did you know this team is made up of ALL STARS. Many minutes of training, a handful of seconds running, and hours upon hours of random and often disturbing time-out chats have made this team utterly glorious. See mentions below.

Tayler: sneaky and swift, can shoot the lights out without planning to, always worth watching her celebrate after icing a three.
Lucy: the jolly frolicker, pulls down board after board, a defensive menace. Dunks often.
Ashleigh: the squealing defender, back this season from a knee injury and playing only because the begging of the fans became too much, initiates most of the above-mentioned disturbing time-out chats.
Jess: she’s got the look. When Jess gets the look, you get out of her way, because it is her ball and she will have it. Intensity is her middle name.
Lauren: motivator and strategist, a threat in every aspect of the game, and a player to be reckoned with. Often discovered debating the correct order of parmigiana topping during time-outs.
Erica: smiling assassin, mad ball skills, carries her own supply of ice for all the ankles she breaks, often emerges victorious from under a pile of much larger bodies.

Georgia: the put back queen, even when only using sonar she’ll pull down a rebound and fight to get the ball in the hoop. Sometimes by dunking. Foul shooter extraordinaire.
Shannon: tough, reliable, work horse. Even with an appendix that’s ready to burst, she’ll play. And she’ll play well. Shappendix.
Liv: the fill in, the dubious qualifier, gets sick satisfaction from blocking opponents. Often heard trash talking and/or hugging opponents.
Shaun: the coach, caller of subs, complainer of time out conversations. Always there to heckle or formulate defensive plans, seems to know what he’s doing.
