Vale Graeme Cocking

Graeme Cocking

It saddens us to inform you of the passing of our President Graeme Cocking.  Graeme suffered a massive stroke whilst on a cruise with his wife and was transferred to a Darwin hospital.  Unfortunately he suffered another stroke on Saturday morning and passed away quietly on Saturday afternoon.

Graeme was a trainer for Mitcham Football Club for 20 years from 1988, the Head Trainers for a number of these years.  Graeme was awarded Life Membership at Mitcham Football Club in 1994.

Graeme joined the EFL Trainers Association in 1992 and was elected President in 1999.  Graeme was made a Life Member of the EFL Trainers Association in 2004.

Graeme was awarded Recognition Of Service in 2002 and Services To The Game in 2012.

Graeme was very passionate about the Trainers Association and put in a lot of time organising courses, visiting grounds to ensure trainers were doing the right thing, liaising with the EFL office and ensuring the committee worked to his high standards.

The EFL Trainers Association send love and best wishes to Joan and his three children, Jason, Adam and Simone.

Rest peacefully Graeme, you will be missed terribly!

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
