From the President

A massive thanks must go out to all who helped make last Saturday’s luncheon a huge success.

Everyone enjoyed listening to Wayne Schimmelbusch, Peter Fox and Trevor Keogh with their stories of days gone by.

The day was to recognise our valued sponsors and gather some extra support from outside the club which we would not normally have.

Special mention to Marci McKenny for all the work behind the scenes setting up during the week and the night before and assisted by Janelle and Mel. To our crew who prepared the meals, Kingy, Steve, Colleen and Paul - thank you.

Helping out with the table service was Brayden, Rebecca and Brooke.

Bar staff were from the Junior club in Marcus and Ian, thanks for a great job.

Thanks to Lesley who sold her normal bundle of raffle tickets inside and also to the outside crowd.

It was a fantastic afternoon and then continued on into the night with the MAJOR DRAW.

The major prize was down to Cam Linford and Peter Grigg which saw Peter - who is also a club sponsor - take out the big one. Peter only purchased the winning ticket that afternoon, he also picked up a best on ground winning ticket as well.

Upcoming events sees the Flaming Moes, Ladies Day and the Silent Disco sure to keep everyone happy.

Congratulations to Geoff Newstead our “Minister of Thirst”who was recognised by the EFL and Bendigo Bank with a Volunteer Award for his valuable contribution to the club over many years

Doug Brumby

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
