Ingle Farm has done what many teams would have thought impossible before the beginning of the season upsetting powerhouse team and second on the ladder West Adelaide by 13 points at Rowe Park.
The ladies came into the game off of a solid win against Centrals the previous week and took that confidence and belief into the game against the Bloods.
Many would have already pencilled in the win for West Adelaide but Ingle Farm had different ideas and are quickly becoming the dark horse of the competition.
The fitness, team structure, tackling pressure, desire and ferocity at the ball saw Ingle Farm first to the ball for the majority of the day which in the end contributed to the best win of Ingle Farms short time in the competition thus far.
Burford was solid in the ruck all day giving the likes of quick onballers Sedunary and Browne first use of the ball. With Brooks and Spence rotating through the middle and forward 50 both hit the scoreboard with Spence kicking an important steadying goal in the last and Brooks showing her versitility and continued improvement by playing a lock down role in the centre when there but also kicking a goal of her own.
Ingle Farms backline was outstanding with the General "Chooky" O'Brien directing traffic all day which allowed the likes of Nichols-Pavy and Berry to run off half back with ease thrusting the Doggies forward.
The Dogs welcomed back Solly for this clash after a long stint on the sidelines injured and she didn't disappoint, producing a solid display out marking her opponent and providing an option all day. Sumner again proved why she is so important to the Doggies outfit, slotting the sealer and finishing with 2 for the day.
When the Dogs were challenged in the third quarter they took it up another notch and proved they truely had fighting spirit and deserved to be playing division 1 footy. The character this team showed when in trouble and throughout the day and the ability for each and every player to play their part shows the direction in which this team is headed.
Next week the Dogs play Greenacres at home in which will be another great game of footy.
