Congratulations to Kelly Spence and Lilla Berry who have been announced as Captain and Vice-Captain respectively for the 2014 season.
Kelly coached IFWFC in its inaugral season in 2012, was vice-captain last year after being cleared from a knee injury and in 2014 takes the reigns as Captain in an exciting new era for the football club. Did we mention that Kelly was a huge part of getting the IFWFC up and running in the first place?! Seems like this was meant to be!
Lilla Berry joined Ingle Farm in 2013 from Port Adelaide and her impact was felt straight away with her onfield presence, leadership and skills. Lilla is a much loved player by all at the club. Lilla has come out of her shell in the off-season, her energy and positivity have been infectious and her encouraging ways makes her the perfect choice as vice-captain.
Kelly and Lilla's love for the club and committment to the team is second to none and together we know they will keep the IFWFC moving upwards and onwards!
For the first time in it's history the IFWFC have put a leadership group in place. New recruits from West Adelaide, Michelle O'Brien, Alana Browne and Fiona Clancey, have slotted right in to the green and white and they make up the bulk of the leadership group. With the many years of experience between them, their encouraging and supporting ways and their natural leadership shining through at trainings, everyone involved is lapping up what they have to say. Captain for IFWFC's first 2 seasons, Rebecca Campbell, will remain in a leadership capacity and rounds out this exciting new group.
With such leadership in place, the future is looking bright for the IFWFC. Here's to a top season!
