As was the case last year, Cohuna and Tyntynder will only play one another once during the 2012 season. The match will be played on the Alan Garden Reserve and Cohuna Football Netball club will take the lead role on the day.
As in previous years, information will be handed out at the gate, the club's notice board will feature information on common mental health issues, players from both clubs will wear blue arm bands to raise awareness and the "Cup" will be presented to the Coach of the winning senior football side at the end of the game by CFNC Pesident Ross Pascoe.
Sporting clubs are often at the heart of many rural communities and raising awareness of depression, anxiety and drug related issues is important to both football netball clubs.
In it's third year, it is hoped that the "Cup" will continue to be played annually in Leon's memory and raise the profile of common mental health issues.
Tyntynder Football Netball Club promotes good mental health. Good mental health encourages resilience and strengthens clubs.
